it's finally here. i'm finally graduating.
(disclaimer: if i don't pass my finals, we'll have some problems. so please please please pray for me.)
in the spirit of this upcoming infamous friday, i found this song pretty perfectly describes how i'm feeling. (for the most part)
just kidding. this is how i really feel:
yeah. yeah. yeah. i'm graduating on friday! friday! gotta get down on friday!
i hope that song is stuck in your head until friday. haha just kidding. :)

blow away
i recently mentioned this pandora radio station i found that i really really love. i don't remember what it was, but i started downloading some songs that i really love from there. one of them was a song from a fine frenzy called "blow away". i watched the official video and can i just say that alison sudol is so freakin adorable? if you can't agree with me, watch this video and i promise that you will! her songs in her new album make me so happy! it's all i listen to these days.
super cute huh! not to mention she's got a suuuuper fantastic voice! she's fun. i like her. anyway, i'm getting paid to blog now (just like my lovely auntie) so when you click those ads you see on the sidebars and such, i get money. it's really simple, so read my funny posts and then click on the ads. and then click on the link to my aunt's blog and read her cute posts and click on her ads. it'll be worth your time i swear! :)
my bracket is still intact, thankfully, but i have two huge chunks missing with pittsburgh and kansas st. eliminated. it breaks my heart honestly. but duke is still in (who is my champion by the way) so thank goodness for that. i thought they were screwed today though. i would've had a meltdown if they lost.
i guess there are some tennis matches going on right now. i feel like i should be watching them, but i don't even know when they're on. i pride myself on knowing about sports though, and since i know so little about tennis (and hockey) i think i should start learning. i took tennis lessons a few summers ago. that was interesting. my coach was so legit and taught me really well, but i don't think i got it down. i might as well have had a baseball bat in my hands instead of a racket. that's how awful my serve was. but i have some super cute tennis outfits and a really awesome racket to show for it, so i'll at least look the part! (i know what you're thinking..."what a poser"...i know right? it's awful!) maybe i'll take a tennis class again. or i'll find a hot man to teach me instead. i like that idea better. plus i can wear my cute tennis skirts for him. :)

young and reckless.
All of my blog posts are usually done when I should be doing something more important. In this case, I'm supposed to be studying for my baseball theory test and chemistry quiz that are BOTH tomorrow. However, I have somewhat given up on chemistry (yes. again.) and am now just in it to say that I finished the course. Hopefully that doesn't make me sound lazy and careless. I'm really doing my best in there. Because really, when I say I'm giving up, I'm just giving up on a good grade. Haha.
Anyway, I get to have lunch tomorrow with my wonderful friend, Mark Hargis, and his lovely fiance, Brittany Greenman. They have seriously become two of my favorite people, and I look forward to every other Tuesday now when I get to chill with them. By the way, Mark is a freakin fantastic photographer. This is his website--You should really check it out.
So lately, I've been feelin pretty burnt out. I blame school of course. Normally, I turn to my tumblr to break me out of that feeling, but lately that hasn't even done the trick. So, I started making a list of all the things I'm going to do when I graduate. Wanna hear some? Okay. Good. Cuz I was gonna share them with you anyway. (If you said no, this is where you would click the 'x' in the corner. And where I "unfriend" you on facebook. Really though, I would never do that. Just like you would never click the 'x'. Ha.)
ONE.
Learn to play the guitar. Like this fine fella. (I will never admit to liking Glee. Never.)
TWO.
Get better at piano. So I can play this sick song.
THREE.
Oh. And then I'm gonna learn to play the Ukulele. Like this kid.

That's it for now. I was gonna shoot for five, but it took to long to find appropriate videos for those three things. Maybe after I prepare some more, I'll tell you guys more. I gotta study some more. Here's one more video for kicks though. Something else I plan on learning.

Hook and Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream
It is so cold in Rexburg! It is literally a frozen tundra here annnnd I think I'm allergic to this place! (totally joking of course)
I learned how to do a fishtail braid last night! It's so so easy and I love it. I learned how from this really easy tutorial. I've done it 3x times now. I think I'm getting quite good at it.
Kieffer was in this comic show tonight that was kinda like Whose Line Is It Anyway. It was really good! He, of course, was very funny. It was kind of an audition for a bigger show that will essentially be the same thing. AND he was one of FOUR to move on up! :) He's SO involved here. It's ridiculous.
I found this really great pandora station and I highly recommend you listen to it. The artist name is Laura Marling.
She resembles a lot of Regina Spektor. Kind of. Anyway. It's pretty chill stuff. I love it.
Chemistry blows still. But I really love my teacher! He's very funny. And so so helpful! Makes my life a lot less stressful! I think I really like my classes. I guess I'm still deciding. Baseball Theory is by FAR my favorite. It's the one class where I don't get side-tracked or distracted. My teacher played for the Padres and the Twins once upon a time so he has TONSSSS of stories! It's awesome.
I get to play basketball with kids with disabilities once a week. They're cool. Funny. One of the girls asked me to make a bracelet for her and her niece. Haha. Another girl really likes that I'm from Nashville because that's where Hannah Montana lives.
I think in another life I'd like to be one of the Lost Boys. Maybe they'd accept girls.

Of COURSE they have one for music!
Day 10- Songs you listen to when you’re Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad
This one will be especially somewhat difficult, because I've loved music since I could like... make conscious decisions! Who knows when that started really... Ha.
I'm actually really excited to do this one though because I love music so much. However, this blog might be especially long.
So. Music I listen to when I'm happy. Well. Currently, I'm listening to some Michael Buble :) He has an incredible voice and his songs are so wonderful. Usually when I'm happy, I tend to listen to stuff like his--Frank Sinatra. Harry Connick, Jr. Dave Barnes. John Mayer. Jason Mraz. Sara Bareilles. Copeland. Coldplay. Jamie Cullum. Taylor Swift. Yes--I openly admit to listening to Taylor. She's tight. And I relate with her...Um. who else. Cartel. Paramore. Boys Like Girls. Jack's Mannequin....I dunno. Oh and lately I've really been diggin Justin Bieber's "U Smile". I KNOW it's Bieber...but it's so hard not to like that song!
Let's move on. Sad. Usually when I listen to sad songs, it's the same artists, just all their sad songs. A good example of the perfect sad song is "All By Myself" by my girl, Celine. Haha. It's seriously the epitome of sad. What else. "Split Screen Sadness" by John is pretty good. Copeland has some pretty good sad songs. And Coldplay too. Oh and Jack's Mannequin "Swim". It's such a good song, and I'm not sure it's meant to be sad, but when I'm sad I listen to it several times, cuz that song has ALWAYS got me out of bad emotional ruts. It's absolutely incredible.
So when I'm borrrred...I usually put on this new stuff I've been into. Well, it's new to me anyway. And it's not boring stuff, it's just...different I guess. But I LOVE it. It's like the dubstep, house, electronic (NOT techno) stuff people listen to lately. Like deadmau5, pretty lights (my personal favorite currently), bassnectar, 3OH!3, hoodie allen, umm... and pretty much anything else I like from this new sick blog I came across from my friend Crockett.
Being hyped is a completely different choice of genre for me. This usually entails the hip hop/r&b/rap portion of my itunes. Like Lil Wayne. Kid Cudi. T.I. B.o.B. Timbaland. Ciara. Rihanna. Chris Brown (especially his new song "Yeah 3x"!). Shwayze. And basically anything else that falls under that category. Some of it is really good, and fun, but other times it just plain old sucks and ruins the hype.
Mad. Sometimes, this is the most fun choice of artist! It's also kind of important to depending on how quick I want to get my rage out, ya know? Usually I'll pick a little evanescence, sometimes Jimmy Eat World, umm...Flyleaf. Such a good anger artist. My Chemical Romance. Sometimes I listen to Muse when I'm mad too. I also like to run to the things that I listen to when I'm mad. Sometimes it pushes me harder.
Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend looking some of these up. If you're interested. :)

Everything In Transit
I AM SO ECSTATIC RIGHT NOW!
I just received an email from the Jack's Mannequin mailing list. This is what it said:
Jack's Mannequin has just announced that on December 7th, they will be rereleasing their debut album, Everything In Transit, on vinyl! This will be the first time the album has been reissued since its original August 2005 release. The reissued vinyl will include new artwork and sequencing, and will feature two new songs — an a cappella version of "Holiday" and "La La Lie (West Coast Winter version)".
Be sure to pre-order your copy starting TODAY October 7th! All pre-orders will be signed by Jack's Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon. The pre-order begins at online vinyl retailer BecauseSoundMatters; with albums arriving on street date -- December 7th.
And guess who just preordered it!?! YEAH that would be ME! :)
I absolutely cannot wait for this package to come in the mail. This is the BEST DAY EVER!

What does sunshine sound like?
For whatever reason... my left leg aches! it's very uncomfortable... grr.
Anyway, that's not the reason I'm posting! I have a question!
Is there anything wrong with asking a boy out on date? Obviously I have a point to this... tee hee.
You see... there is a boy. in two of my classes. who I happen to be verry interested in..., I'm in this basic skills class for recreation management, and we went on a trip last week up in the Tetons. I made a joke about me being single on the way up to the trailhead, and from there it escalated into trying to get me and this kid to go on a date. I didn't want it to be awkward or anything, so I kind of...backed off a little bit? Anyway, now I'm genuinely interested, but I don't think he knows that I am. Especially since I backed off from before. So now, everyone in my class knows, but not him. And I reeallly wanna ask him on a date. I've always been pretty old-fashioned, and I still consider myself to be, but I've also never had to ask a dude on a date (I have always wanted to, but I've chickened out every time!). I have some people telling me it's not a good idea, which is fine, but I think in today's world, it's really anybody's game. Right? And another thing... is it too soon? I mean, on this trip, our group spent like...every hour together. Sorta. So I think it's an adequate amount of time before you go on a date with someone. The real question is: How in the world do I do this?
Shoot me a comment if you agree with me and/or have suggestions. Haha.
PS--I'm obsessed with this song. :-)

Easy A.
Well. Obviously, since you're seeing this picture it means I probably just saw the movie. Well. That is true. I saw it last night annnnd it was SOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD! Ohmygoodness I absolutely loved it! It was definitely not what I expected at all, and everyone in it did fantastic. I really would see it again. and maybe even again after that. This movie was really the highlight of my weekend. Butttttt lucky for you guys, my life isn't all that boring and I do have other stories for you...
I'm gonna tell you about the boring stuff first though because I know some of you are wondering about my schooling and everything. WELL. It's realllly hard. But I'm surviving! Which is always comforting. And my current definition of surviving is that I am completing all my assignments, doing as much of the reading I can handle, and I'm NOT texting in class! (I know... seriously a miracle.) Oh and in my Recreation Leadership class on friday, this REAL LIFE mountain came into my class! He really is a mountain man. I feel bad, cuz he gave a really great speech, but I don't remember his name. But he had a really crazy beard, a hat, a bandana, all these crazy tools, a vest, I mean.... he was legit. It was rad. Okay so now that the school part is over....
Some of you know (but others don't, mostly because they would fear for my safety), I just bought a longboard. I know. Crazy. Sorta. I've never actually "skated" a day in my life, until maybe march? A friend of mine taught me to longboard. I've always wanted to learn how, and I finally did! And then a couple weeks ago, I had a short-lived addiction to ebay, and I decided I would buy a longboard. Because, let's be honest, I wouldn't get better any other way! It's sat against my wall for a little over a week now, and I kept looking at it thinking "hey i should prolly take her out and try riding..." but then I wouldn't. Well. I finally did. And those of you who know me well, know that I don't always have the greatest coordination and balance. Haha. Yesterday (saturday), I rode my longboard to the gas station to get one of those cheap 44 oz drinks (Horkleys!). I don't even think I thought about how I would get back with it...But, I'm sitting here now, and I can honestly tell you, I am uninjured. Aside from a couple of scrapes on my ankles where in between riding and walking, the board hit them and stuff. Ohhh... and. This is really sad guys. On a portion of my journey back (I made it to the gas station with no problem at all!), I sorta slipped at little tiny bit and I dropped my coke. Ughhhh!! It was so awful. Coke was alllll over the sidewalk. And people were up ahead and saw it, so when I rode up their direction they all said stuff like "hey sorry about your coke" and "smooth move" and stuff. Ha. So embarrassing. Whatever. I'm getting better.
What else. OH! So guessss what. Our school brought this pseudo-ABBA band here to put on a concert! And me and Melanie went! AHHH! It was sooooooooooooo MUCH FUN! I loveloveloved it! We danced in the aisles and danced in our seats and sang all the songs! It was so great! I lost my voice actually. Haha.
Welll... that was pretty much my weekend. Except for the part where I watched the Broncos KILL the Seahawks today. AMAZING. Hopefully my fantasy team did well. Haha.
